The Officers and Members of IAFF Local 4417 would like to keep Paramedic Stephanie Callaway in our thoughts and prayers.

PFC Steve Gallaher graduated Basic Combat Training in Fort Jackson, SC on 11/30/07 as the Squad Leader for 2nd Platoon Bravo Co. 1st Battalion 13th Infantry Regiment. Steve is now assigned to the 222nd Aviation Regiment in Fort Eustis, VA for Advanced Individual Training as a 15Tango - UH-60 Blackhawk Mechanic.

The New Castle County Uniformed Firefighters Union was organized by a group of 10 Christiana Career Firefighter/NREMT's in November 2004. The group was accepted by the International Association of Firefighters in January 2005 and assigned the I.A.F.F. local number 4417. The career staff from Elsmere Fire Company as well as Delaware City Fire Company signed on soon after, and most recently the Minquadale Fire company career staff and then the Claymont Fire Company.
The Official Emblem of The New Castle County Uniformed Firefighters was designed by Charter Member Anthony M. Consalo and approved by Local 4417 members as an official patch and logo to be displayed by the organization.
Brother Steve Gallaher (22) left to begin a new career in the United States Army. Steve is now in Fort Jackson, SC for Basic Combat Training. Following that he'll move to Fort Eustis, VA for Advanced Individual Training as a 15 Tango - UH-60 Blackhawk Mechanic. Steve's permanent party station assignment is unknown at this time. Steve will be missed by all who worked with him.
